There are many opportunities to get involved, from projects within our community to those in distant destinations.

All are invited to join us on these wonderful Outreach opportunities.

Mission: The Northborough Food Pantry is a source for supplemental food to those who are on a limited income or have an acute need. Residents of Northborough may shop at the pantry one time each week. Serving 120 families weekly.

The Northborough Food Pantry is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, all donations are tax-deductible.

We are a proud partner of the Worcester County Food Bank.

How you can help

Various organizations have committed to monetary donations for these entrees. But, you can't have a meal without servers, water and dessert. We are always looking for volunteers to sign up. 

To donate towards the purchase of meals, please make your checks out to "Helping Hands Association" with "Community Meal" on the memo line, and mail them to:

Since its inception in January 1996 a free, full course meal has been served every Wednesday evening to anybody who is in need of a hearty meal. Although the meals are free, a donation box is available for any donations.

The current religious organizations involved are:

  • Trinity Church

  • Church of the Nativity

  • First Parish-Unitarian Universalist

  • St. Bernadette

  • St. Rose of Lima

  • Congregation B’Nai Shalom (Westboro)

 

Other participating organizations are:

  • The Northborough Junior Women

  • The Northborough Rotary Club

  • The Lion's Club

  • Knights of Columbus

Worcester Fellowship, an outdoor spiritual ministry to the homeless and at-risk community in Worcester.  We at Trinity support this ministry financially and by attending their Sunday service and bringing a meal to share one Sunday a month.  http://www.worcesterfellowship.org/ (See below for a list of dates).

  • Provide lunches and worship with those who do not have homes.

Northborough Interfaith
Clergy Association

Trinity is part of Northborough’s Interfaith Clergy group that meets monthly to pray together, to share resources, and to enjoy friendship with each other. We have representation from Church of the Nativity, First Parish Unitarian-Universalist, St. Bernadette’s, St. Rose of Lima, Trinity Church, Congregation B’nai Shalom in Westborough, and The Church of Latter Day Saints in Marlborough.

 

Voucher Program: 

The clergy provide vouchers to local vendors for use by those in need. Vouchers are available to Northborough residents or individuals related to one of our congregations.

 

Recipients may receive free:

  • gasoline (Peterson's),

  • groceries or lunch (Lowe’s),

  • heating oil (Northborough Oil)

  • overnight lodging (Econolodge).

'Count Your Blessings'

The Trinity Church Thrift Shop 

The mission of the The "Count Your Blessings" thrift shop is to offer a place for the people in our community to purchase gently used clothing and accessories at nominal prices while providing some financial support to the church.

 

The thrift shop sells gently used infant, children, women's and men's clothing, shoes, and accessories, as well as small household items. No electronics please.

 

At this time we are accepting women's winter clothing donations and men's tops, coats, jackets.  No pants or suits. No formalwear. We're also looking for household donations, such as kitchen items and house decor. No picture frames.  

 

Please drop the houseware donations off during regular thrift shop hours.

 

Come in and get an early jump start on your holiday shopping! We have a great selection of clothing, shoes, handbags, costume jewelry, and fall and holiday decor. Perfect for your holiday gift-giving and entertaining!

SPRING FASHION SHOW 2024

COMMUNITY SUPPORT

Afghan Refugee Project

Trinity Church Outreach Team has spearheaded an effort to form a Northborough Neighborhood Support Team to sponsor a family from Afghanistan.  

 

Under the guidance of the non-profits WelcomeNST and Ascentria Care Alliance, the Northborough NST is sponsoring an Afghan family. 

 

The NST has 22 people who come from across the Northborough community.

Matthew 25: MORE INFO

Matthew 25 is a private non-profit corporation located in Worcester, Massachusetts whose mission is to provide food and housing relief to people in need.

Trinity hosts several Scout troop meetings and events in our building.
